Princeton Ends Regular Season With Loss To Harvard

Princeton hockey fell to Harvard 5-0 on Saturday night, ending its regular season with a loss.

With Dartmouth earning a win over Quinnipiac, the Big Green clinched the fifth seed and will host Princeton next weekend.

The Tigers (4-21-3, 2-18-2 ECAC) were shut out for the eighth time this season, a program record.

Colton Phinney finished with 23 saves as Harvard outshot Princeton 28-27.

The Crimson () took a 1-0 lead on a power play 6:49 minutes into the first, and added two goals from Tyler Moy before the period expired. Jimmy Vesey and Devin Tringale added tallies in the third.

The Tigers were 0-for-3 on the power play, while Vesey’s first-period tally was Harvard’s only power play goal.
