Forward Ryan Berlin joins Princeton after spending four years in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Last season, Berlin appeared in 21 games with the Whitecourt Wolverines. He recorded 14 goals and 27 points. Over the past four seasons, the Edmonton, Alberta native played in 180 games and recorded a career-high 41 points in 2012-13.

When goalkeeper Colton Phinney was still a recruit, the Princeton coaching staff watched him play the Bay State Breakers. Phinney, then with the Islanders Hockey Club, faced off against Ben Halford.
“That was probably the biggest game of his life,” Halford’s goalkeeping coach, Bryan McDonald, said.
Before the game, Princeton had expressed interest in Halford. And after watching Halford lead Bay State to victory, the Tiger staff invited Halford to campus for a visit.
“The kid just went there and stood on his head. [He] played out of his mind,” McDonald said.

Former Princeton men’s hockey player Darroll Powe signed with the Phantoms of the AHL, the team announced Wednesday.
Powe spent several seasons with the Phantoms after graduating from Princeton in 2007. Powe made his NHL debut in 2008-09 with the Flyers, where he played until moving to Minnesota in 2011-12. Continue reading Darroll Powe Joins Phantoms And Other Princeton Signings
Ben Halford joins the Tigers as the only goalkeeper in the freshman class. Halford, an Albany Academy graduate, spent the past several season with the Bay State Breakers. He holds the Breaker franchise records for wins and shutouts.
