Countdown to Princeton Hockey – No. 26 Ryan Siiro

We’re counting down the days until Princeton hockey’s season opener by featuring a different player each day. Since there’s 26 days until the season’s start, today’s spotlight is on forward Ryan Siiro.

What you need to know: Siiro joins the Tigers after spending his last two years in the USHL. The 6-foot-2 forward earned the league’s Curt Hammer Award last year, given to players who demonstrates skills and pride both on and off the ice.

Last year: The Minnesota native captained the Sioux Falls Stampede, who appeared in the 2013 USHL playoffs. He recorded 33 points (11g, 22a) and a plus-19 rating.

USHL: Before joining the Stampede, Siiro played for the Dubuque Fighting Saints. He appeared in 52 games and scored 12 points for Dubuque, bringing his USHL point total to 45.
