Omaha Lancers Acquire Princeton Recruit Matt Nelson

The Omaha Lancers received Princeton recruit Matt Nelson from the Green Bay Gamblers in exchange for a 2014 draft pick, the team announced on Thursday.

The team said Nelson is expected to play in the team’s home opener against Fargo on Friday night. The defenseman played in one game this season, recording two penalty minutes and zero points.

Nelson, who was drafted by the Gamblers, joined the team for three games last season after winning the Minnesota State High School Tournament Championship with Edina High School.
